Our privacy policy is designed to ensure your personal data remains under your control. We comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and adhere to the relevant laws and regulations in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire. This privacy policy applies to the website viacascade.com, the Windows and Mac OS desktop applications, and governs the use of services provided by Cascade to its users.

Data we collect

At Cascade, we collect various types of personally identifiable information. This encompasses all information that can directly identify you, such as your name, email address, payment information, and more. In addition, we gather data based on your usage of our platform through our optional cookies. This data is collected and processed in a fully anonymous manner, ensuring it cannot be traced back to you as an individual. In addition, if our service integrates with Google, Github, Apple or Microsoft services, we may collect additional user data as authorized by you through the consent process provided by one of this providers. The information that we collect will be used to contact or identify you and to provide the Service.

Limited use disclosure during authentification

Cascade uses Google, Github, Apple and Microsoft APIs when you use one of this providers account to sign in to our platform. Cascade's use and transfer to any other app any information received from these provider APIs will adhere to the relevant provider API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Third party AI applications

We do not share users' personal data with third-party AI applications.

Data storage and security

User data is stored securely on our servers and is protected using industry-standard encryption and security practices. We retain user data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

User data sharing

We do not share user data with third parties unless it's necessary to provide the Service, comply with the law, or protect our rights. When third parties are employed to process user data on our behalf, they do so under confidentiality agreements and are obligated to comply with our privacy policy and data protection laws.

Following your request and its confirmation, your information will be deleted within 14 days. However, we may retain information for longer periods if required to comply with legal obligations. In cases where the law mandates, or a judge or a court orders, we may retain information for an extended period and/or disclose it to the relevant authorities.

Your data rights

As the owner of your information and in accordance with the GDPR, you are entitled to several rights regarding the handling of your data by Cascade:

  • Right of access: You have the right to obtain a copy of all personally identifiable information related to you that we have processed.
  • Right to rectification: If any personally identifiable information you have provided is incorrect, you have the right to have it corrected or adjusted.
  • Right to deletion: You can request the deletion of some or all of the personally identifiable information we have collected about you.
  • Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to request us to stop processing relevant personally identifiable information if it is incorrect, unlawfully processed, no longer necessary as per our privacy policy, or if you object to our processing. Your objection is valid unless we have a compelling reason to continue processing.

Additionally, you can opt out of further communication and services through your account settings on www.viacascade.com.

Data security

At Cascade, we employ multiple measures to protect your data to the fullest extent possible. These measures include: Using security software, such as virus scanners. Implementing TLS (Transport Layer Security) to ensure secure connections between our servers and your device. Adhering to internet standards like DKIM, SPF, and DMARC for the protection of our email traffic.

Policy changes

Cascade reserves the right to amend this privacy policy as needed. Should any changes occur, we will notify you at least two weeks in advance of the changes taking effect. If you do not agree with the modifications to the policy, you have the opportunity to withdraw your consent during this notification period.
